Jacob Ray-Shaun Fox was born on November 7, 2001 at 11:07 p.m. His parents, Avonda Fox and Tony Adair, could not have loved this little bundle from Heaven any more than if he had been born with a golden halo attached to his head and angel wings sprouting from his back. We all knew we had been blessed with a special child, but we didn't know then just how special Jacob truly was.
As a baby, his tiny face and eyes were always filled with a look of wonderment that had an ability to draw you into his little world, and once Jacob grew old enough to talk, that same gift of wonderment made you want to become a little child again so you could reenter a world you had once enjoyed. His wit was advanced far beyond his years, so much so that many times you stopped and asked "now really, how old is this little person standing here in front of me?" We who knew him best are sure God kept a diary of the little pearls of joy that continually spilled from his lips. At the age of two, Jacob discovered music, and from that time forward always had a little song to sing to whoever would listen. |

Jacob attended K-3 and K-4 at the DeSoto Private School, where he excelled in all his subjects. One of the highlights of Jacob's last year at DeSoto was singing carols with his classmates at the Christmas pageant. He was so excited and couldn't stop talking about the songs he was going to sing. One of his favorite carols was "O Come All Ye Faithful," which he enjoyed singing for his family throughout the entire Christmas holidays.
Jacob was loved by all his teachers and classmates, including staff employees he recruited to be his friend. Ms. Roland, Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Kellie, Ms. Kari, Mr. & Ms. Larson, Ms. Farr, Mrs. Moon, Taneesha Clark, Ms. Barrick, and Mr. Sparr, all played significant roles in nurturing Jacob's development, and contributed so much in helping him become the funny, loving, extraordinary little boy he was. |
